The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

New Brunswick, NJ, October 25, 2017 — The HealthCare Institute of New Jersey’s (HINJ) annual Life Sciences Vendors Procurement Conference is scheduled for Thursday, November 2 from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Raritan Valley Community College, Route 28 and Lamington Road, North Branch, NJ.

The event — entitled “How to Do Business with Pharma and Medical Technology Companies” — will be co-sponsored by the Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) with support from Eli Lilly and Company and Allergan.

Senator Kip Bateman (R-Somerset) will be the special guest speaker at the event that aims to educate businesses, large and small, on trends in procurement and issues of importance to the industry. Continue reading

New Jersey’s biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies purchase more than $6.5 billion worth of goods and services from thousands of local suppliers across the state.

Somerset County Business Partnership and Rutgers Enter Innovative Partnering Framework

Bridgewater, NJ, March 30, 2017 — The Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) on March 17 announced it had entered into an innovative partnering framework with Rutgers University.

The goal of the partnership is to build stronger connections between Rutgers University and the Somerset County business community by improving communications and building strategic member programs.

Under the partnership, the SCBP and Rutgers will strive to develop activities that address the business needs and challenges of the SCBP members; workforce development, talent acquisition and ways to leverage faculty expertise are considered key areas of focus. Continue reading

BWorkforce Healthy 2ridgewater, NJ, October 24, 2016 — The Somerset County Business Partnership, in collaboration with the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) and Healthier Somerset, will present “Achieve a Healthier, More Productive Workforce: The Value of Medication Adherence” on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.

The session will take place at the New Jersey Center for Excellence, 1041 US Highway 202/206 in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

The event is an element of the Business Partnership’s Workplace Wellness initiative that provides public and private sector employers and employees the information and resources necessary to reduce costs, decrease employee turnover, and improve productivity. Continue reading
