Rutgers University Ranks 21st Among Top 100 Worldwide Universities Granted U.S. Utility Patents In 2016

New Brunswick, NJ, June 13, 2017 — Rutgers University ranks 21st among the Top 100 Worldwide Universities Granted U.S. Utility Patents in 2016, according to a new report published by the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO).

New Jersey Ranks Fifth in Patents Awarded in U.S.

Englewood, NJ, March 20, 2017 — Michael Hill reports on NJTV News that the New Jersey Tech Council (NJTC) says the world can marvel at the inventions created in the state and New Jersey’s spirit of innovation — innovations such as researchers at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory putting the world one step closer to creating fusion energy.

Four Rutgers Researchers to Be Honored with Edison Patent Awards

Edison Patent AwardNew Brunswick, NJ, November 2, 2016 — The Research & Development Council of New Jersey will present its 2016 Edison Patent Award to a Rutgers professor, two former faculty members at the university and a retired research staffer at the council’s annual awards event on November 3.

Raphael Mannino and Ruying Lu, former researchers in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, now both at Matinas BioPharma, will be honored for a new drug delivery technology they invented. Continue reading

AdvanSix (Honeywell), ExxonMobil, Immunomedics, Lockheed Martin, Merck, NJIT, Nokia Bell Labs, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, Rutgers University (recipient of two awards, one co-owned with Matinas BioPharma), Siemens and TE Connectivity will be awarded for innovative patent work spanning 11 R&D categories.
