The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

EDA: Tech Meetups in Northern New Jersey Encourage Networking Among Entrepreneurs

Recovery Sign-postTrenton, NJ, April 26, 2016 ― Understanding that networking is vital to fostering innovation within the Garden State, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) routinely promotes events and gatherings through which entrepreneurs can share information and learn from one another.

New Jersey’s many technology Meetups create an atmosphere of collaboration and, through frequent events, provide a platform for entrepreneurs to discuss topics that affect their businesses.

Meetup organizers often invite industry leaders to these events to provide attendees insight into areas relevant to New Jersey’s thriving technology industry. In addition to in-person events, Meetup websites offer members an online forum to communicate, leading to a free-flowing exchange of ideas. EDA: Edison Partners Helps Technology Businesses Grow in NJ Emerging Innovators Benefit from Investments and Value-Add Platform

Trenton, NJ, January 17, 2016 ― The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) reports that Edison Partners enters 2016 at an exciting point in its history. The investment firm recently moved back to its original home in Princeton, and is also in the midst of investing in technology-sector businesses through its newest fund, Edison Partners VIII.

Last January, the Board of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) approved a $2.5 million limited partnership investment in Edison VIII.

Under the leadership of Managing Partner Chris Sugden, the fund will invest in 20-25 growth stage technology businesses across four industry sectors: financial technology, healthcare information technology, marketing technology, and enterprise 2.0 (focused mainly on mobile, security and business operations software). New Jersey’s Manufacturing Sector Boosted by EDA Board Action

Trenton, NJ, January 16, 2016 ― Action taken by the Board of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) on January 12 under the Grow New Jersey Assistance Program (Grow NJ) includes projects that support the attraction and growth of businesses in the manufacturing industry.

Advanced under the New Jersey Economic Opportunity (EOA), Grow NJ is the state’s main job creation and retention incentive program.
