The New Jersey Life Sciences Vendors Alliance (NJLSVA) is a coalition of businesses, individuals and academia who provide goods and services to New Jersey’s life sciences companies.

The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

NJ Department of Health Hosts First Population Health Summit; Christie Administration Committed to Addressing Health in All Policies

population-health-1Trenton, NJ, September 16, 2016 — Eight New Jersey Departments — including six Christie Administration cabinet members — on September 14 joined community partners in nutrition, health and wellness, social services, education, housing, transportation and the environment at New Jersey’s first Population Health Summit to strategize how to improve health in all policies.

Population health promotes prevention, wellness and equity in all environments, resulting in a healthy New Jersey.  It refocuses healthcare not only on the sick, but also on the well and aims to reduce personal, educational, social and economic costs associated with disease.

“Given the diversity of issues that influence health, it is critical that we partner to build on each other’s efforts and the work of our stakeholders,” said Health Commissioner Cathleen D. Bennett, who convened the summit.  “Together we have identified nutrition and fitness and lead exposure in children as two key improvement areas.” Continue reading

Application for 2016 Governor’s Environmental Excellence Awards Is Now Available; Due September 28

Green 2Trenton, NJ, June 26, 2016 ― The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) is pleased to announce that the application for the 2016 Governor’s Environmental Excellence Awards is now available.

Completed applications must be received at NJDEP by September 28.

The Governor’s Environmental Excellence Awards Program is New Jersey’s premier awards program for recognizing outstanding environmental performance, programs and projects throughout the state. Continue reading
