The New Jersey Life Sciences Vendors Alliance (NJLSVA) is a coalition of businesses, individuals and academia who provide goods and services to New Jersey’s life sciences companies.

The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

BIO International Convention 2017 Closes After Four ‘Breakthrough’ Days in San Diego; BIO 2018 Set for Boston

Washington, DC, June 23, 2017 — The 2017 BIO International Convention (BIO 2017), hosted by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), closed yesterday after four days of immersive, compelling programming united under the theme of “Breakthrough.”

BIO 2017 drew 16,123 biotechnology industry leaders from 48 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and 73 countries to San Diego, the “genomics capital” of the world.

As the largest global biotechnology event, BIO 2017 provided attendees with unique perspectives on the immense opportunities and complex challenges ahead for the industry. Continue reading

Event: Students 2 Science to Host Inaugural ‘Biotech Observation Day June 9 in East Hanover

East Hanover, NJ, June 7, 2017 — You are invited to join Students 2 Science (S2S) at its first-ever Biotech Observation Day on Friday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m. to introduce a new career pathway and educational offering to prepare students for high demand, 21st century careers through authentic STEM education.

Event: Democratic, GOP Candidates for New Jersey Governor to Debate Back-to-Back at Stockton May 9

Galloway, NJ, April 13, 2017 — Gubernatorial candidates running in the June 6 Primary for the Republican and Democratic Parties’ nominations will debate in two separate forums at Stockton University on Tuesday, May 9.

Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno and Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli of the 16th District, which includes municipalities in Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset counties, will face off for the GOP.

Phil Murphy, a former ambassador to Germany and a financier; state Sen. Ray Lesniak, of the 20th District, which includes several Union County municipalities; Jim Johnson, an attorney and activist who was formerly an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury and Under Secretary of the Treasury for Enforcement; and Assemblyman John Wisniewski, of the 19th District, which includes five Middlesex County municipalities, will debate in the Democratic contest. New Jersey Celebrates National Minority Health Month 2017; Health Equity Forums Scheduled

Trenton, NJ, April 11, 2017 — April is National Minority Health Month and this year’s theme is “Bridging Health Equity Across Communities.”

To raise awareness and highlight New Jersey’s efforts to promote and build healthier communities, hospitals, local and county health departments, and community groups will host more than 70 events throughout the state.

The New Jersey Department of Health’s Office of Minority and Multicultural Health (OMMH), along with its local partners, will be holding a series of health equity forums to encourage health and wellness, and disease prevention. Continue reading
