The New Jersey Life Sciences Vendors Alliance (NJLSVA) is a coalition of businesses, individuals and academia who provide goods and services to New Jersey’s life sciences companies.

The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

Camden, NJ, June 28, 2016 ― Anjalee Khemlani reports in NJBIZ that Paul Katz, the founding dean of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, is leaving to be the new president of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

The University of the Sciences board of trustees named Dr. Katz the college’s 25th president.  He will begin on September 1, 2016.

“Over the course of more than 40 years in health care and higher education, Dr. Paul Katz has gained invaluable experience and has demonstrated skilled and visionary leadership, which will be a tremendous benefit to University of the Sciences,” said board Chair Marvin Samson. Continue reading

Camden, May 10, 2016 ― Caitlyn Stulpin reports in The Star-Ledger that four years ago, the charter class of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University started their journey at their white coat ceremony.  Yesterday, they made history, becoming the medical school’s first class to graduate.

Forty-three classmates made up the first class to go through Cooper Medical School.  The class, largely comprised of tri-state area residents, walked at their commencement ceremony on Monday.

Speakers at the ceremony included Dean Paul Katz, Rowan University President Ali Houshmand, and Governor Chris Christie.

Congressman Donald Norcross was slotted to speak at the ceremony as well, but was unable to attend due to the death of his mother on Saturday. Continue reading
