The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

College of Saint Elizabeth Awarded National Science Foundation Grant to Help Underrepresented Populations Pursue Biology

Morristown, NJ, October 6, 2017 — The College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE) is one of six collaborating higher education institutions awarded a $4.4 million National Science Foundation S-STEM Grant to help traditionally underrepresented populations of undergraduate students to pursue and succeed in the field of biology.

Sixty percent of the funding is for student scholarships, and forty percent will enhance academic programming and advising support.  The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Scholars Program will begin in January 2018 for a five-year period. Continue reading

New Jersey High School Students Explore STEM Programs at The College of Saint Elizabeth

Morristown, NJ, July 20, 2017 — Rising high school seniors across New Jersey applied for the opportunity to spend a week at the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE) exploring science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers.

Fourteen students were chosen from a pool of dozens of applicants to participate in the week that began on July 9.

College of Saint Elizabeth Given ‘Transformative’ $5 Million Bequest from Antoinette Anastasia’s Estate

Morristown, NJ, March 5, 2017 — Eric Strauss reports in NJBIZ that the College of Saint Elizabeth has received what it called a “transformative” $5 million bequest, it announced Monday.

The Morristown-based college said the gift came from the estate of Antoinette M. Anastasia, a member of the Class of 1951, who passed away in December 2016.

Anastasia, who earned her bachelor of science in biology from the college, went on to graduate degrees from Columbia University. Continue reading
