The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

NJBIZ Publishes 2015 Power 50 Health Care List

Somerset, NJ, March 26, 2015 ― Each year, NJBIZ determines the 50 most powerful people in the state’s health care industry.  The 2015 list, which was published in the March 23 print issue of NJBIZ, includes hospital executives, attorneys, doctors, policymakers and more.

This year’s Top 10 were:

  1. Robert C. Garrett, Hackensack University Health Network, CEO and president
  2. Barry Ostrowsky, Barnabas Health, CEO and president
  3. Robert Marino, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Chairman, CEO and president
  4. George E. Norcross III, Conner Strong & Buckelew, Executive chairman
  5. Mary ODowd, State of New Jersey, New Jersey Health Commissioner
  6. Amy Mansue, Children’s Specialized Hospital, CEO and president
  7. Robert Barchi, Rutgers University, President
  8. Jeff LeBenger, Summit Medical Group, CEO
  9. John Lloyd, Meridian Health, CEO and president
  10. Judges – King v. Burwell, for which the Supreme Court heard oral arguments early this month, will determine if federal subsidies can be used in states, such as New Jersey, that do not have a state exchange for the Affordable Care Act.
