The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

NJ Spotlight to Host Conference on NJ Implementation of Affordable Care Act on September 20

Montclair, NJ, August 20, 2013NJ Spotlight will host a conference on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in New Jersey on Friday, September 20.  The free event will be held in The Metropolitan Room at the Newark Club, 1 Newark Center in Newark from 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Although the Affordable Care Act became law in March 2010, the two most important dates in its development have yet to be reached.  On October 1, 2013, New Jersey residents will be able to enroll for health coverage that will begin on January 1, 2014, through either the online health insurance marketplace or the newly expanded Medicaid program.

The NJ Spotlight Conference: Implementing the Affordable Care Act in New Jersey will explore many of the critical challenges that federal, state, and local officials will face as they move ahead with Obamacare.

This two-session conference will feature the detailed analyses and informed discussion that NJ Spotlight is known for.  The conference will feature the thoughtful analyses and conversations that NJ Spotlight specializes in.

Former Health and Senior Services Commissioner Heather Howard, who directs the State Health Reform Assistance Network, will be the guest speaker.

The event will be moderated by NJ Spotlight life sciences/health writer Andrew Kitchenman.  Speakers will include:
