The New Jersey Life Sciences Vendors Alliance (NJLSVA) is a coalition of businesses, individuals and academia who provide goods and services to New Jersey’s life sciences companies.

The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

Moore Named Executive Director of NJ Business Action Center

Trenton, NJ, June 6, 2014NJBIZ reported that Lauren H. Moore, who has been serving as the interim executive director of New Jersey’s Business Action Center, officially got the job yesterday.

Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno made the appointment of Moore, who is an executive with more than 25 years of economic development experience.

Under the leadership of Lt. Governor Guadagno, the New Jersey Business Action Center plays a key role in helping grow, retain and attract business to the State.  The center serves as a “one-stop” shop for business.  

The team at the Center works to encourage entrepreneurship by supporting New Jersey’s businesses of all sizes, supporting global competitiveness of New Jersey companies, as well as to promote the State’s attractiveness as a vacation destination and business investment location nationally and internationally.

“The choice of Lauren Moore to lead the Business Action Center not only ensures that it will continue to be guided by a leader with a wealth of economic development experience, but provides for a seamless transition and continuity of its critical work,” Guadagno said in a release.  “His proven record on matters of business attraction and retention speaks for itself, and his reputation among industry professionals is exemplary.”

Moore will oversee a number of economic development responsibilities, including leading the BAC’s collection of business advocates to encourage entrepreneurship, promoting the state’s “one-stop” advocacy services, enhancing New Jersey’s standing as a leading international trade partner, and marketing the state as an ideal tourism destination.

Moore, who joined the BAC team in August 2010, is credited with helping the larger Partnership for Action secure commitments from over 280 companies to create and retain more than 75,000 jobs across New Jersey.  This includes high-profile business attraction and retention projects involving Bayer Healthcare, Church & Dwight, Forbes Media, Allergan and J.P. Morgan Chase.

Before joining the BAC, he was on the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission.
