The NJLSVA was founded to educate suppliers on trends in industry procurement and public policy that affects the life sciences industry.

Greater Newark Healthcare Coalition to Host 4th Annual Primary Care Summit

Newark, NJ, May 31, 2013 — The Greater Newark Healthcare Coalition will host its 4th Annual Primary Care Summit on Wednesday, June 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom at the NJIT Campus Center in Newark.  The program includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and free continuing education credits.

This free event will focus on emerging policy and practice issues that are important for primary care stakeholders.  Expert panels will lead discussions on area public health trends, shared savings programs, integrated primary and behavioral healthcare, and practice management tools to help providers track patient outcomes.

The theme of the 2013 Primary Care Summit is “Primary Care and Population Health.”  The forum will examine the role of the primary care provider in impacting community health, and what tools are available to help providers assess and track population health outcomes at the practice level.

Special guests include Dr. Arturo Brito, Deputy Commissioner – New Jersey Department of Health and City of Newark Deputy Mayor Margarita Muniz.
